I have a 2001 Toyota 4-Runner


I have a Check engine light


Got a waiver the year before


I heard someone can clear the codes long enough to pass the emmision test

You can go to a Auto Zone and they can clear it out for you, but you may not pass the test. Once you clear the codes, the computer monitors are reset. In order to reset them, you must drive it for a while. The first thing they check is if the monitors are ';ready';. If they aren't, you will fail the test right away. Almost any shop should.But if not go buy your self a scanner and clear it your self..its easy..
