Hi , usually when there are 2 lines no matter how faint the second one is, it is positive, when i took my pregnancy test it was also first response and the second line was very faint and after a couple of hours the line disappeared completely, i didn't know what this ment so the next day i went to the doctor and took a blood test and sure enough i was pregnant.

It sounds to me that the test was positive - you are pregnant. Get down your gp and get him/her to confirm but experience tells me you are indeed pregnant! A faint line is still a line and positive tests are rarely inaccurate (you can get false negatives but I dont think it's possible to get a false positive!)
You need to retest in a few days or try Clear Blue Easy. Clear Blue Easy is simple because it says either ';pregnant'; or ';not pregnant';. I got 2 negative responses with First Resonse and two days later I took a Clear Blue Easy and it was positive. Just to make sure I took 2 more, and yep, definitely with child :) GOOD LUCK!!!
The same thing happened when i took my pregnancy test there were two lines one very clear and the other was faint so i went to the doctor and had a blood test done and sure enough i was pregnant two months to be exact my doctor said that my hcg levels weren't high enough to detect the pregnancy in my urine so the best thing to do is go see your doctor and get a blood test.
Well win u take a home test n u get 2 lines n 1 is lighter n thinner then da other then dat means dat u r pregnant BUT most time the home test arent always reliable so try ept dat wuld be da best choice or co 2 a communtiy clinic 2 find out for sure hope my information is help full
hi yeah when i done a test for the first time and found out i was i had the same lines u had. i ended up doing more tests. yeah it means your preg so get to your gp asap.

it's extremely rare that you get a false positive, even if the line is small or faint the test did detect HCG hormones, congratulations!
My guess is yeah and the test only detected just enough HGG to produce one and a then a faint line. If you're six days late...I'm thinking you are...congrats if so.
PREGNANT! Faint lines still mean 'positive'.
